Halloweenie Time!

Hey everyone! I've been such a bad blogger lately. Life has been crazy and busy, as I'm sure everyone can relate to! Here are just a few of the bazillion different Halloween cards I made.
I just love Halloween and Autumn and all things orange! Haha :)
Each card is just a little bit different. But they were so quick and easy to make! I cheated and got a patterned paper from my local scrapbooking store that had all these cute little circle images on it. I just cut them all out and made little tags.
The tags I adhered to the card fronts on top of some other fun patterned papers. Just embellished each a teensy bit differently and VIOLA! All done!
Hope you all are in a fun Halloween kind of mood now! Let's eat candy! :)

it needs to be glam.

That's what I was told when a friend requested a card made. "It needs to be glam." Just that and nothing else. So with that in mind:
This has glitter (completely covering the little heart), it has a ruffled ribbon piece (courtesy of Ashley Newell's tutorial), and of course rhinestones! There's also the subtle Versamark background and a damask patterned strip of paper.

I do have to say that this was my first time using Melon Berry and at first I was a bit stumped as to what colors to pair it with. I like it well enough on this card but looking at that whole sheet of a color that defies any explanations... eh, who knows.

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by!

today.

Well it's not often that I make a card that I don't want to give away. Today's card is one of those. I am in absolute LOVE with this card and almost can't bear to part with it! Haha!

The patterned papers are all very cute and coordinated. There is simple sewing on the edges. I scalloped some pieces and rounded other corners. Then of course a vintage book print embellishment-- awesome! :) The circle was cut out with my Cricut and the faded image was stamped with Versamark and the sentiment on top of that. That font is just perfect!

Hope you've all enjoyed this card as much as I have. I'll be getting in the mail asap and off to a new special home!

baby basket.

Today I just wanted to share this cutie-pie little baby basket that I made for my friend's baby shower.
It's packed full of baby wipes, headbands, a picture frame, chocolates, baby toiletries, and my handmade thank yous for the soon-to-be mama! The best part is that once the goodies are all used up, the basket makes a cute and functional addition to the nursery.
Hope you like this peek. And I definitely hope the little mama likes it more! :)

Notecard Set

Yay! Better pictures! I guess I will be taking all my card pictures outside from now on. :)
Here is a set of four notecards I made. I think they would make a great gift for pretty much any occasion.
Again, I used my Cricut! The heart and flower images were cut using the basic shapes cartridge. The patterned paper is my very favorite one from Papertrey's Turning a New Leaf set. Love, love, love this paper. I plan on using the heck out of it in the near future so stay tuned for more!
This card set just makes me smile. It has brown (my favorite), pink (another favorite), simple kraft (another favorite!), and awesome patterned paper.

Enjoy the Ride

I made this gorgeous card a few weeks ago. I love how it turned out so much that it was in an envelope and off to my sister within five minutes!

The photo above is how it originally looked. I liked it, but I just felt like it lacked a little something if you know what I mean. So...of course I put some glitter on it and it was ten times better. Doesn't glitter just make everything better?! :)

I love the black, pink, and white color scheme. And of course I'm in love with the Everyday Button Bits set from PTI. This card just has it all! I really want to make more in a bunch of different colors with maybe just a few tweaks.

Again with the Buttons!

Okay, so this is by far my favorite card that I've made yet. I love this color combination of ripe avocado, spring moss, kraft and berry sorbet! It is just a great combo and I will probably use it over and over.
I liked this card so much that I just had to get it in the mail already. I sent this off to my mother-in-law to congratulate her on a new job and say hi!
Hope you like this newest card as much as I do!

Just a Few More....

Here are a few more cards that I made with my newest PTI goodies and the Everday Button Bits set that I got:

They are all a really simple design but lots of fun to make and give! I think I am in absolute love with this stamp set. It is so fast and easy to make a great looking card! And of course I just love playing with and collecting buttons!

hey there, chickadee!

Look what I got! Look what I got!
I am just so excited that my Papertrey Ink package finally arrived! It was so fun to open the package and see what was inside. Even though of course, I ordered it all so I already knew what was in it! Haha.
With my new supplies I made this latest card.
It uses the Everyday Button Bits stamp set and Bitty Dots patterned paper. I sponged the edges of my kraft cardstock with fresh snow ink. This is something that Michelle Wooderson does alot and I really love ALL her designs.
The little birdie has a french knot eyeball and I got that idea from Nichole Heady.
So there it is! The first of many, many, MANY cards I will be making with all my new PTI goodies!

2S4U

This feltie is so stinkin' CUTE! I absolutely love how this card turned out. I made it for the 2S4U sketch challenge. Yes, my second entry! Sketch challenges really make me think and the prize for this one is FABulous so hopefully I can win! Haha :)
I love the bright and fun patterned paper! It is so cheerful. And the tag is from some ribbon that I bought a few days ago and repurposed. I colored the 'hello' sentiment with markers and the little faint flourishes were a happy accident. I think they just add to the tag. They are reeeeaaaally hard to see in the pictures. But this card is so gorgeous in person!

I love the scrunchy ribbon too! It's perfect for my abstract tree. There's the green argyle grass, the scrunchy ribbon branches, patterned paper foliage and a little feltie owl! So adorable! I can't wait to have a reason to send this little card out!

Whoo loves you?

So how cute is this card?! This adorable little felt owl is from Sassafras. I just got him a couple days ago and had to make a card to use him already!! Couldn't let this cute little thing just sit on my craft table.

I scored the border on the orange cardstock. Then I ripped watercolor paper into a branch shape and sponged three different brown inks onto it to give it a wood feel. I love how this card turned out!

For my Sister

This a beautiful card I created for my sister. I love this. I used one of the $1 alphabet stamp sets from Michael's for the focal image and just repeated it over and over. I think it turned out really well. What do you think? The "A" is also from that set.

The bottom piece is stamped in Versamark. I just LOVE this look. And this color combination is so beautiful and feminine. Perfect for my little sister!
The buttons are tied with Rustic Jute Twine and the border is punched with an EK success punch. I use this thing all the time! Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Have Faith!

So this is my FAVORITE card I've made in quite a while. I'm loving the color combination and this patterned paper...FABULOUS! I've been using this patterned paper from Making Memories almost nonstop since I got it!

I used the patterned paper (can't remember the maker, shame on me, I know!) and covered a chipboard piece to make the frame. Then I distressed the edges and added a little gold for some glitz. I did the same for the oval inner piece and then stamped the sentiment on it. The inside piece is attached with foam dots for some dimension.I just love the muted colors and how well the different patterened papers play off each other, even though they aren't from the same set!
And of course I had to use my scalloped edge punch and some Rustic Jute Twine from PTI! I feel like I use twine all the time; but I really do just love the rustic look of it.

Here in the corner is this adorable little dove & heart image. So cute and tiny. Really coordinates with the elegant Faith theme, in my opinion. What do you think? I got this clear stamp set from the Michael's dollar section....LOVE IT! What good deal have you found recently? LET ME KNOW! :)
