picture fest.

It's been a little while but I sure do have enough pictures to make up for it!
They all use the same layout; I just changed up the colors a little bit. And trust me... there are even more but I didn't want to bore you with a bunch of pictures of the same thing! (Five is enough as it is!) :)
Pretty simple instuctions: cut cardstock, score cardstock, cut circles, adhere circles, stitch circles, stamp sentiment, emboss.

The last one and the first one are my favorites. Hope you're week is going well!

a second time.

This was the first card that I made for Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge. I liked the brighter colors of my previous post more at first but I keep coming back to this simple card.

Since the requirements were pretty simple to work into a card (hello, buttons!) I had planned on making more than one. And luckily she allows multiple entries! :)
So glad that it's almost the weekend!

poppy seed challenge.

Hello again! I completed this card for Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge #2. The rules are really simple: she gives you a few requirements and you add them into your project anyway you want. How easy is that?! This challenge was to use moss green, polka dots, and buttons.
I enjoyed playing along and hope to create a few more before the challenge deadline. I love the creativity this challenge allows... every entry is so different!

baby basket.

Today I just wanted to share this cutie-pie little baby basket that I made for my friend's baby shower.
It's packed full of baby wipes, headbands, a picture frame, chocolates, baby toiletries, and my handmade thank yous for the soon-to-be mama! The best part is that once the goodies are all used up, the basket makes a cute and functional addition to the nursery.
Hope you like this peek. And I definitely hope the little mama likes it more! :)

thanks so much. again!

This is my second post for today so be sure and scroll down for the first. This card is another example of some that I created for the baby shower gift set of thank yous.
I like this one the best. Super simple and quick to make but I think it's really cute. I traced and cut out the image then popped it up with a dimensional. Three score lines and pink embroidery floss make up the rest of the card.

thanks so much.

Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to for a friend and as part of the gift I'm giving I made a bunch of thank you cards. This is one of the designs. I wanted to keep it sweet & simple so that it was easy to mass produce.

It's kind of hard to see but I scored three lines at the bottom of the card. I also used up the very last of some pink felted paper that I had.

man made.

Does this card scream 'masculine' or what? My husband made this card for his dad's 45th birthday. All I did was make the card base and give him a Cricut lesson.
He added just about every cool little shape that he could find! And I love it. I don't think that I could have made anything this manly and I'm sure this card will be much-loved by my father-in-law!
There is even a special signature that he used to sign his work! :) It was so much fun to sit and watch Branden create something in my craft room.

embrace happiness.

This is a simple, happy little card that I made recently. The flower is one that I stamped, colored and cut out for the focal point.
The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages and stamped onto a Cricut shape. I'm pretty sure it's the Lyrical Letters cartridge. I change them out so often I forget which one is in there! :)
These two little chocolate leaves are the very last scraps from the baby shower invites. I'm so glad that I could use it all up!
Reminds me of that old saying: "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or Do without."

I just wanted to share two books that I recently read and LOVED.
The first one is These Is My Words by Nancy E. Turner. I found the first 20 or so pages hard to get into but man, I'm glad I stayed with it! I was head over heals when I found out that this was the first in a series!
The second book that I really enjoyed was A Woman's Place by Lynn Austin. It's a fast-moving Christian Fiction book that takes place during WWII.

miss you...

Here's another top folded card using berry sorbet cardstock. It's pretty simple: Cricut flowers, twine, heat embossed sentiment, add a button and that's about it.

felted friends.

How cute is this felt heart? I dug a scrap of this paper out of my stash and just had to try and use it up right away. It was a really awkward shaped triangle but I was able to cut this little heart out of it. Thank goodness, I didn't want it to go to waste! :)
This fun spring-y color combination is lime, berry sorbet, dark chocolate and white.
I used the 'friends to the end' sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages. I'm really liking this top-folded card... should do this more often!

Hope your weekend is fabulous!

hello again.

It's been awhile! But I'm finally back with my first attempt at paper piecing. And I think I probably chose the smallest little flowers possible but I'm still happy with the results!
The two polka dotted flowers were pieced using raspberry fizz bitty dot patterned paper. I used chalks and a blender pen for the other coloring.
