Patchwork Valentine

Can you tell that I've been practicing with my sewing machine?! Haha. I love the look of stitching on cards but I still need to get the hang of it. I like how this card turned out though.

The patchwork of coordinating papers is fun and then the pop of spring moss green makes it an unexpected valentine card. I'm sure that I'll be making more of these and just changing the colors up for the season or whatever.

This is a little 4x4 sized card. I hope you like it!

Hopefully I'll be able to post pretty regularly now that we have a brand new computer! It's been tons of fun playing with all the new elements of our mac... I think I'm in love with iphoto!

Mini Card Set #2

Here are the other little 3x3's in the set that I showed you yesterday. I think I'm going to add a few more to the set before I give it away.

The first cards are thank you cards with a little ripe avocado button on them.

The second cards have a stitched border on them. I also stamped a Versamark flourish on the kraft. I love that look.

Mini Card Set

I made a bunch of 3x3 cards for a set to give away. So of course I had to take tons of pictures of them and divide it into two posts. They all use paper from Turning a New Leaf.

I added a glitter strip at the bottom and a spring moss button with twine.

On this second card I stitched a dark green border around the edge but it's hard to see in the picture. It adds a nice texture to the card without a lot of bulk. Then I popped up the banner with dimensionals and added a ripe avocado button with twine.

Same Paper, New Card

Hello to you! Hope everyone is ready for the weekend. I know I sure am!

This is another card that I made with the patterned paper from the Turning a New Leaf pack from Papertrey. Branden, my husband, says that I always use brown and pink. So what?! They're my favorites!!

The sentiment reads "hope you're feeling better" and it's from the Everyday Button Bits. I also used pink ink to stamp a flower over a couple of the flowers in the paper just to tie it all in together. I like how this turned out and I really should make more get well cards to keep on hand!

Pink & Fabulous

This card is so pink and feminine, I just love it! Every girl needs a little frill in her life sometimes.

The background is stamped with a little flower image. That pink strip under the sentimnet is all glittered and cute. I made the tissue paper rosette and stitched a button in the center.

Patterned Thank You

Hello! Here's my latest card:

I love this paper. Can't remember where it's from though. The ribbon is really old, I found it in my drawer today when I was searching for the perfect finishing touch for this card. And I think this one works!
The "thank you" sentiment is heat embossed and look great! Overall, this was a quick and cute little card that can be used for an awesome masculine thank you! Love it!

Button Flowers

Hello! Today's card uses more of that fabulous retro-ish Anna Griffin paper that I fell in love with. I also used the same polka dot paper as before too because I love the two patterns together. All four corners of the background are rounded to tie the two papers together.

The image and sentiment are from Everyday Button Bits and is matted on dark chocolate cardstock. I think the brown really grounds this image and looks awesome with these colors.
Love these fun colors and the happy feeling that this card evokes. I just need to find someone to send it to. I love sending cards "just because". I know it makes me happy getting mail like that and I like to pass that along to other people.
