XOXO
For this second card I stamped the background with another $1 stamp that I got from there the other day. I also strung some buttons onto twine and wrapped it around the bottom of the card. It was quick and simple and I like how it turned out.
In the middle of the hearts on those "O's" I used a glue pen to add some glitter on both cards. It's hard to see in the picture but looks cute in person. Both of these cards are 4x4 size. All the edges of the kraft are inked with Fresh Snow.I'll be back with more Valentine's cards soon! I'm on a roll with these colors and stamps.

Enjoy the Ride

The photo above is how it originally looked. I liked it, but I just felt like it lacked a little something if you know what I mean. So...of course I put some glitter on it and it was ten times better. Doesn't glitter just make everything better?! :)
I love the black, pink, and white color scheme. And of course I'm in love with the Everyday Button Bits set from PTI. This card just has it all! I really want to make more in a bunch of different colors with maybe just a few tweaks.

It's Been too Long!
I made a few of these cards last minute because I ran out but they turned out to be one of my favorites! The base I bought on sale last year after Christmas and same with the Merry Christmas patterned paper. I just stamped a simple Christmas tree on the paper, inked the edges and attached it to the card base.
My favorite part of the card is the glittered border! I used scor-tape to attach the Doodlebug glitter. I think it adds a nice touch. My mom called after she received it and the glitter didn't budge AT ALL! Yay!
I will definitely try to get back to regularly scheduled postings! :)

Copycat
I made a set of four of these and I can't wait to send them out for Christmas! I didn't have any holiday sentiments that were the right size so I just had to use a generic one. But I think that it works for the season. Hope you like! Thursday, October 15, 2009

Whoo loves you?

I love how this card turned out!Monday, October 12, 2009
Hello!
For the focal flower image I tried my hand at faux watercoloring. This is a technique where you color your stamp with markers and spritz it with water before stamping on your paper. I made quite a few of these flowers before I got one that I liked.
I added a brad to the center, put some dimensionals on the back, and popped it onto my card front. I love the sparkle that the glitter letters add to this too. They have an eclectic feel with the different fonts but are pulled together because they are the same color.
This is just an all-around happy card and I hope you like it too. Let me know what you think! I would love to get some comments! Thanks for stopping by!

A Hybrid Card!

First there is the red overlay. It was originally a card cover and it came with the cute little hole already punched out and just waiting to be transformed! The mitten focal image was punched from another card front using my handy two inch circle punch. The punch that I own is the kind with the handles that you grasp. I really like it.
The third piece is the green strip of glittery flourishes. Underneath that I stamped flourishes in Versamark to coordinate. Have you recycled any cards lately?I love how this final card compilation turned out! Let me know what you think and leave a comment or two!

Happy Birthday, Little Brother!
I know that there is a lot of glitter on this card but I needed a glitter fix! I just HAD to use some somewhere and I think this turned out alright. It's not too feminine... even with all that sparkle!
It's been forever since my last post! I had to completely rearrange and gut my craft room but now that it's done I feel so much better! This new layout is fabulous and my creative juices are really flowing now! I can't wait to keep this blog up more regularly! Thanks for stopping by!

Short & Sweet
I love the blue button! It's one I found in my stash and it coordinates so well with the patterned paper!
And of course I had to use my Papertrey Ink Rustic Twine! I love that stuff! I also stamped the main "my friend" image with Versamark. I'm loving that look right now.
Thanks for stopping by and checking things out. Leave a comment or something so I know that *someone* besides me is reading this thing! Ha :)Details: Stamps- SU!; Cardstock- PTI; Ink- Versamark, SU!; Twine- PTI; Glitter- EK Success; Patterned paper & Buttons- Unknown.
